Our Marquees

At Sussex Marquees we supply tension pole marquees; these are a modern version of the traditional pole tent. These marquees are stylish and contemporary and make a fantastic impact on any landscape.
Pole tents are the most traditional form of marquee and originally had huge canvas roofs and walls with lots of space needed to accommodate the guy ropes and pegs.

There are now modern versions of the traditional pole tent available to hire and these keep all the character of the classic pole tent, whilst utilising modern materials to create marquees fit for all occasions.

Marquees of this style have the beautiful curved 'swooping' rooflines of the classic English garden party marquee. They are ideal for romantic traditional weddings, formal garden parties or any event where period style or an extra elegance is desired.
Like classic marquees, they have supporting poles inside the marquee, which can be decorated with swags, wraps, ribbons, flowers and linings to give that opulent feel.

Our traditional-style tents are erected with straps and pegs. But unlike classic marquees, they do not need huge amounts of space. Thanks to modern technology, only 7foot extra space is required around the marquee for the straps and pegs.
All our tension pole marquees are 40ft wide and come in lengths of 40ft, 60ft and 80ft in fact you can keep adding 20ft sections if you have the space and the guests! 
Interior Design

We can create any theme you can imagine using one of our marquees as a beautiful blank canvas. Once we have added a dash of inspiration (from you of course) and a dollop of flair.
Our marquees can be transformed into the formal and classic Black Tie Dinner, a wonderful summer wedding to a vibrant Bollywood Celebration, and anything in between.

Some of our most popular designs are usually based around a white or ivory theme with the roof dressed with coloured swags to match the theme of the event. Please enquire for more information or inspiration.
We offer a full range of flooring from black or coconut matting to hard floor solutions with Event carpet. Hard flooring gives the marquee that five star feel and gives great protection from the elements.
