Sussex Marquees was established in 2005. We now have over 14 years of experience in Marquee hire and outdoor events.
We are a family run business, owned and run by Tim McConnell and his father, Kenneth. The ethos of our company is to be different from the rest, giving the client help and inspiration to create an unforgettable celebration. We offer a personal service from your initial enquiry through to your event and you will be supported by the same team members throughout, giving you continuity and attention to detail.
Our business was started after we saw an opportunity to offer a more elegant style of marquee. All too often were we seeing small, framed marquees on the horizon and our gut feeling was that these were not special enough for a bride and groom’s most important day. We therefore entered the market with our stunning Traditional Pole marquees, hailing from California and well, the rest is history…
We soon realised that our clients were becoming ever more adventurous and creative when choosing their marquee space. We had to adapt to live up to client expectations, raising the bar again.
As another string to our bow, in 2014 we invested in stunning Stretch Tents from the very best manufacturer in Cape Town, South Africa. We trained in rigging these wonderful stretch tents that have now become a fantastic addition to our business. These Stretch Tents have helped us to cover another gap in the market, providing a more versatile structure for the more challenging of locations.
We are delighted to be able to offer these structures in addition to our beautiful traditional marquees for your event.
We’ve learnt the ropes of the marquee industry from the ground up and we now consider ourselves experts in our field but we will still always strive to be better! We are ever growing in our passion, creativeness and equipment. This will all shine through for your event.
